Hehe, even the people "from the uk/usa"... sie sprechen/schreiben/verstehen 
auch Deutsch.Wir sind ein Globales Dorf geworden. (:-)

Nothing wrong with that at all -- however, English is so easy to learn that in 
the last200 years it pushed out French and became lingua franca.
Perhaps it helps to think of Gene Rodenberry's Star Trek NG - although Jean-Luc 
Picard comesfrom Navarre, he (and everybody else) speak English because the 
entire planet hasbecome unified under one government, which holds not just 
Earth - but multiple planets in aFederation of free planets.
It might look like a long shot now -- but if you look hard enough, you'll see 
that "the writing ison the wall" and in a couple of centuries, barring nuclear 
cataclysm, it will happen.
However, that is no reason to give up being proud of being Swiss -- as well you 
should be!And it won't change the fact that you're one.  Not now, not ever.
