I stated  quote:"Insider information has it that there were  SOME ( UNDER LINE THAT) some prominent high ranking Washwahili Generals within the TPDF ( Tanzania Peoples Defense Forces) who were very sympathetic to the then Guerrilla Leader Yoweri  Museveni Kaguta during the days of Uganda's liberation war and
struggle in 1979.
Point number two ..do you actually know how Dictator Idi Amin end up  invaded Tanzania and triggered the counter invasion of Tanzania forces?

I will tell your Brig. Charles Arubeko among many Uganda Pariots and Nationalist  ( an Aringo ) from West Nile, together  with some Aringo's in the then  Uganda Army , were very much tired of Idi Amin's State Research , lead by MALERA who were Massacring Ugandans at Nakasero State Reseach Bureau Headquarters en-mass..  Arubeco was killed by dictator Idi Amin Dada..he was actually thrown from the sixth floor of Mulago Hospital  and died a horrible death.

The invasion of Tanzania stated first as a revolt  within the Ugandan Army.

Amin's forces wanted to finish of the ARINGA within the Uganda Army.

20,000 Sudanese (anyanya Troops and some elements sympathetic to Iddi amin) were trained at Kabamba Military training school. They were to be  deployed to finish off the Aringas in the Uganda Army. many Aringa Uganda Army Forces Personal   were rounded up and posted to Mbarara . ( Idi amin told the Aringa Soldiers   that they  were going for further training in Mabarara Ssimba Mechanised Battalion.

Once the Aringo Troops were in Mbarara Barracks,Amin was later to deploy his troops lead by th elikes of Malera to finish of the Aringas...

There was avery heat peach battle... The Aringa's were winning , if not for the fact that they lack Military supplies....

well they withdraw to Tanzania... Idi Amin and his Troops followed them into Tanzania....Amin was later to claim that Tanzxania had was tarining ADU to fight Uganda!! Many scholars hold the view that Tanzania would not have been invaded by Idi amin Forces..if Idi Amin had not invaded Tanzania.... and that is how the Tanzania Uganda war started and consequently lead to the down fall of Idi amin... the is History!!

MK,

You seem to remember only those parts of our history that speak to your
sense of loss. If it wasn't for Nyerere and TPDF, Obote and UPC would
have found it much harder if at all to return to power in 1980. It was
an open secret then who the annointed presidential candidate was. If you
don't trust the Waswahili as you put it, we must ask ourselves what
changed between 1980 and 1985 for Dr. Obote to fall from grace as a
favored personal friend of Nyerere onto the plebeian floor as an
expendable political potato.

And I have it from an impeccable source that Jakaya Kikwete doesn't like
your nemesis. This source, who had several conversations on the Great
Lakes crisis with Kikwete while he was still minister of foreign affairs
told me that Kikwete was quite disparaging of Museveni. For example,
Kikwete reportedly thinks Museveni is a loudmouth and a megalomaniac who
exaggerates his role in history. For example, in African liberation
struggles.

Of course of course, I don't want to cause a diplomatic row between
Uganda and Tanzania, so I will say no more.
