the entire concept of the UI for JOS is, but I know what you mean.

Im going to look into the peer-UI mappings tonight actually, tell you all what I find 
out.

Also instead of Apps, the plaf configurers make small JavaBeans (like JColorChooser) 
that can be run as apps so its easy to embed them in other apps, and I keep telling 
myself Im going to do that (but
will see).
