IPSec (looks like this one is getting integrated into everything these days,
so I'd certainly like to know something about it)
Related to IPSec, key sockets

Another interesting topic might be the conversion to IPv4... I've been using
IPv4 since ever, but like a lot of American IT, I know almost nothing about
IPv6.  A tutorial would be nice.  In a similar vein, I've been reading about
SCTP (a new transport layer protocol to replace both TCP and UDP) and it's
not a bad topic- lots of really interesting features.
