It seems to have become /de reigeur/ to include some deprecating
comment along with every mention of wikipedia, for no good reason.

Wikipedia has a *huge* amount of information, and most of it is
perfectly fine. In particular, articles related to math and computer
science tend to be fairly accurate, because a lot of folks with skills
in that area look at the articles all the time. Now, if you're
looking at the history of the Iraq war, the Armenian genocide, the
hockeystick graph, or the glowing article about some guy you've never
heard of, then you've got a good chance of being misled.

Caveat emptor, but sometimes you can be confident you've got a good
product for a fair price.
