But the fast forward symbol is not what I am talking about. It should be just two simple strokes for an arrowhead (I have noticed this symbolism quite often, recently), twice, not two black triangles. The succeeds symbol is a relation symbol that is used if an object a succeeds an object b (a ≻ b), so this does not fit, either. (That said, is the use of the greater-than sign actually inappropriate here? Semantically ambiguous characters such as the ASCII apostrophe are a thing, after all.)
