They do not let you deviate from a pre-defined locale in one way. They have two pre-defined locale whose names are fr_FR and fr_FR-EURO (fr_FR@EURO), and you can simply select one or the other. Anybody's free to write an fr_FR@MYTASTE locale that customizes fr_FR, and use that. YA
