Hi All, Not sure how relevant this is, but I thought it might be of interest. I just found that Python has an implementation of SNOBOL 4 pattern matching http://snopy.sourceforge.net/ written in Ada and integrated via a Python library module.
Might have some ideas and code for kick starting!
