I'm thinking through some of the challenges and will probably post further 
questions/ideas.  I'll revisit the thesis and take a look.  I probably need to 
understand a bit more about the under the covers implementation.  However, the 
questions may have value in themselves. They probably should be moved to the 
ldif list rather than here in the general mailing list.

Fair enough, I didn't take your comment personally and would not try and 
contradict Sudarshan's self-assessment; he did not have an eval() function
for generating new code on the fly and what he did in that particular part of 
the implementation may indeed be a kludge.
