These are great suggestions, Hugh. I'll bring it up with my Windows builder
and ask again whether it is possible to just build our own libjpeg,
statically link it in, and avoid the headaches. The libjpeg we've been
using was pre-built in the form that requires the .dll
In Brian's case, the first answer I would give was: Unicon's bin/ directory
was supposed to ship with a libjpeg.6.dll and the Unicon if that file is
missing or not found afterwards, something is fishy about the configuration.
I would look in the unicon/bin folder to see if the file is there, and if
not, send him one and amend the Unicon binaries. Since the Win7 binaries
have worked for other folks, I would suspect it is there but not being found
wherever he is trying to run it from. Maybe that's as simple as Unicon not
being on the path or maybe it is something more complicated.
