Yep! It happened in 1992 to celebrate 500 years. 13 years later, people
still refer to it as Delaware Avenue although it is called Columbus
Boulevard in every map.

All of these postings about naming Streets, Drives, Avenues, etc. after
people. Do any of you remember, or care, about the renaming of Delaware
Avenue
after the evil (in so many ways) Christopher Columbus?
