Tony,I was never good at geometry or trigonometry, and I never studied
astronomy, so I don't know enough to be able to speak on this as an expert, so
I have a few questions. What are the formulae you used to come to these
conclusions? Wouldn't seasons of the year and Daylight/Standard Time variations
factor in? I do know that the Earth's axis is at a different angle to the Sun
during the different seasons, and that because the Earth's orbit is elliptical
and not circular, the Earth is at different distances from the Sun during the
different seasons. It would seem to me that these factors would come into
play in predicting at what angle a light source would hit an object, and
therefore the shadow that the object would cast, but then, like I said, I'm not
an expert. Karen > On Nov 12, 2007, at 9:27 PM, Anthony West wrote:> > >
