Hi, googling around I found a repository (https://github.com/fpasteau/squeezelite), where somebody has added the SqueezeSlave gui to SqueezeLite. This gui is AFAIK based on ncurses and supports a IRC too. Thread is here: http://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=70716&p=628088 Maybe this would be a solution with a smaller footprint?
