I'm using an IQaudiO Pi-DAC+ and it has an built-in volume control (Dont
know if the old one has this). This can now be controlled via LMS if you
set -V PCM option in Squeezelite.
But if you have the volume set to 100% always and use an external volume
control there is no difference.
