Are there any errors in the server logs?

Settings->Information->Logitech Media Server Log File at the bottom.

My best guess is the newer version of perl is throwing an error on some
older syntax used in the CDPlayer plugin.

The CDPlayer plugin also requires cdda2wav which is now called icedax to
be installed and a symbol link created for the old name. There doesn't
appear to be an icedax package available for tinycore which is what
picoreplayer is based upon. If you can get the plugin to load I might
be able to build icedax for pcp.
