You don't really need either the "<<" or ">>" as the little blue spot on the bar showing the position of the time to play / played is sticky allowing a swipe to skip either forward or backward.
Well, they're there to skip to previous/next tracks, too. Skipping back is missing. But I rarely go back to the beginning of a track. But often want to skip a track and go to the next right away.
I'm currently looking into a way to make the buttons configurable. But I'm rather new to skin programming :-).
Excellent idea Michael, uses the screen area to advantage. It would be over the top to suggest that a swipe on the cover would bring up the back.jpg and any other local artwork, wouldn't it?
Again: I'm pretty new to this. And even getting the buttons to work on top of the artwork made me scratch my head. I tend to believe that there is a bug in the underlying code which would not respect the z-order when touching UI elements. Eg. even if a button is on top of the artwork, and the artwork has a touch handler, then that latter would be executed instead of the button's. IMHO that's wrong. But I fear with my little knowledge of the code I'd break more than I'd fix if I tried to change this behaviour fundamentally...
