NM... vade retro satana. I should try and see if using route priorities or probably better the strong host model (Linux "advanced routing") can easily solve that. The advanced routing stuff is more interesting in that you can mix it with iptables and implement traffic control. I don't have a use-case for TC myself. If someone has an idea I could try to implement it and report.
