@Ralphy, I think either you misunderstood my post or I missunderstood your reply ! Your patch does compile and run OK but it shuts down the GPIO immeadiately after the player stops !, I was aiming for not shutting down at all :) I have to agree with Paul- this behavour seems to be unique to SL the other methods of power amp control (PowerswitchIII, and the LED method for recievers etc) never switch off after playing unless the player is "Powered Off" SL ATM only switches off after playing something, if you power on and play nothing the GPIO will remain powered on indefinitely If SL were to leave the GPIO on indefinitely until powered off i think it would make the "Squeezebox ecosystem" more consistant. FYI Powersave plugin will "Power Off" devices after a set time of idleness whether the player has been playing or not.
