Thanks for the test files.  They both play fine on pcp 7 64bit.

Thanks for testing this.  I've been using the libalac extension on 32bit
pcp 6.1 without issue for ages. but haven't tested alac files with the
pcp 7.0 32bit release.

So something has changed, perhaps we've ended up with a outdated
extension in the packaging process.  Investigating.
