My ipad does not go blank, is shows the screen data as it's being written (An I have done backups that take 30 minutes). The web page never finishes loading before the script finishes, so the page load would have had to been manually stopped. The backup script will still run in the background until finished.
Normal page loading very early on removes the data from the URL so that refreshes do not repost the URL.
