I keep seeing the "make sure all your bootable partitions are entirely in the first 8 gb" The latest info shows it is only true for some machines and setups. This is true for the Beige G3 when using the on board ATA/ide bus. It is also true it seems when using the VST IDE 66 PCI card.The Acard/Sonnet/ SIIG cards see the ATA/IDE drives as SCSI and aren't effected. Some versions of the Sonnet card (the ATA 100 I belive for example are made by Promise/VST and may have the first 8gb problem). There maybe other variables in this area so let us know what your findings are.
