This is true. It's a "for sure" issue with some models, also affects some upgrade cards, etc. The simple thing if you have a large HD is create that first partition for X and not worry about whether your particular machine is affected. I have never heard of any drawback to having a sub 8 gb partition, for boot purposes. Just peace of mind simplicity for we intrinsic cowards. <G> Jack Russell -- Unsupported OS X is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Unsupported OS X list info <http://lowendmac.com/lists/unsupported.html> Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive <http://www.mail-archive.com/unsupportedosx%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
