my apologies. i should've looked it up first. i did a little research:
it has a 603e by default and is able to be upgraded through the cache slot. i have no idea about X compatibility w/cache slot upgrades. i assume that the software (sonnet's and ryan's) is only made to work with comps with the same CPU slot. i could be wrong though. -charles > ah. i thought that it was a 604. there was a 200mhz 601? >> a 601 CPU isn't supported in any version of X >> >> the only upgrade is from sonnet since this machine has a soldered CPU >> the upgrade is through the PCI >> >> their software only goes up through 9 and is proprietary >> this machine will not and probably will never run X and is frankly a >> waste $ to upgrade (personal experience) >> >> -charles >> >>> Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew if it's possible to get OS X >>> running >>> on a 7220/200.
