>From what I have read on the other lists, using Norton with OS X is a no go.
Several individuals, whose opinion I have come to respect, have said that
Norton has a way of hosing a drive or doing some subtle changes to the
system that will cause it to do weird things like what has happened to you.
They suggest other utilities like TTP.
