I installed 10.2 with XPostFacto and updated to 10.2.6 with Software 
Update.  Actually, its HD ended up being transferred to a B&W G3 with 
no changes to the OS and worked beautifully.

Safari works well on my 7500 G3/500, Rage128, OS 10.2.6.

 How did you install 10.2.6?
