I would also sugest G3/400/256MB&Rage128 or better. 300 MHz could be fine in case video card is Rage128 or better. Than bigger speedy HD is also helpfull I woudl say. But OS X 10.3 could bring whole new life to old macs in case it will be able to install it. Rumors says it's much much faster on new macs. We can hope it will be even on old ones. All depend on personal point of view and mood. I prefer snapy system to some other features.
