Hi Listers,

One of the final pieces of my homemade "X-box" came in the mail
yesterday--A MaxPowr 400 MHz G3 Daughtercard. I popped it in, and
restarted and all was faster. Previously I had a 225 MHz 604e pulled from
an older 9600 that I had gotten on eBay on the cheap. About a year ago I
had placed 10.1 on there and it was nearly acceptable speedwise. I am
looking forward to Jag on this. I just need an ATA card (anyone have one?)
and I will be on my way.

My questions:
Does anyone have experience with these cards? Are they ZIF-based? Mine
has a lever on the side of the socket and a bail over the heatsink. There
is a 400 MHz processor chip in there now? If it is a ZIF, what can the
card support later on? I got the card for less than $60, but got no
drivers or manuals. Does anyone have a PDF of the manual somewhere?
NewerTech's or OWC's site is not much help with documentation.

Anyone have experience with a Voodoo3 card in one of the PCI slots? I have
a Voodoo3 card installed in the first slot. It works wonderfully under 9.1
with the beta drivers. Myth II plays great! I have read that I need to
remove the card during the install and put it back in after all is done. I
know that it was not supported under 10 or 10.1. I am wondering if Jag is
more tolerant.

I am eyeing the ATI Radeon Mac Edition for PCI on eBay. Anyone got one of
these in their boxes? Do I need to updated to 9.2.x?

Thanks, folks...You were a great help last time when I tried this under 10.1.
