I've recieved multiple explanations as to what this problem with OS X having "CISC" instead of "RISC" code might be. Unfortunately, they don't seem to be describing the same problem. :) I've answered a couple of y'all and asked some more questions, but I think I'll let the issue stew for now... it's all pretty far off topic.
