Just getting started

I have an old 8600 with a burned out processor card.  I would like to 
upgrade it and put Panther on board.  If memory serves correctly, the 
least I will need is a G3 processor card, an ATA PCI card, and an IDE 
drive.  Is that a pretty good assessment?  What other suggested 
upgrades are there for the 8600 that would be wise?  Will the AV in/out 
board still be usable?
