Just wanted to know has anyone worked out a way of a localtalk printer being able to be seen on inbuilt printer port on 9600 under 10.2.6 (plan to update 10.2.8 - but not 10.3 as this is secondary machine and cannot be bothered going through hastle). I tried a few things including reordering port order, switching AppleTalk on /off etc.
I know Panther talks to printer as I usually use 9600 under OS9 and use laserwriter bridge to print from my G5. I haven't been able to track down a cheap hardware based local talk to ethernet bridge which will solve my problem.
However if anyone has some ideas suggestions I would be greatful as this is only reason 9600 needs to run under OS9
