You must have a G3 or G4 processor for Jaguar 10.2 onward.

The last System that works with the 604e is the Puma 10.1.5. I don't know about multi-processor support, I kinda doubt it, but you can try? Installing Puma is really a bear. It's so difficult that Apple has a flow chart for the procedure to upgrade to 10.1.5, use it:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106713
Notice that the Security Update is done twice. You must upgrade to 10.1.5 immediately because all the lower versions were unstable. You should probably download the updates beforehand and not use Software Update because Puma was so unstable that it often seized or crashed during a Software Update session. If you use Software Update, you'll need to run it two or three times in a row.

One important note: In 10.0 & 10.1 many permissions & ownerships are not right immediately upon installation. This probably contributed to the crashes during Software Update. I'd strongly recommend that the VERY FIRST thing you do upon reboot after each update is to run Disk Utility Repair Permissions and straighten out the mess before proceeding with further updates. The whole update procedure may take many hours. You might want to clone the new disk or create a restore image just to avoid ever having to do this again.

Good luck! Kris
