OSX installed on the 16 GB IBM scsi drive ... it just won't boot from it. The installation went fine as far as I could tell. It installed and automatically reboot to the circle with a diagonal slash ... and that's as far as it will go.
I noticed the same problem when I disconnected the 16G HD but had left the OSX install CD in the drive. It tried to boot from the CD and gave the same problem.
So, it appears that it isn't recognizing the XPF hack when it tries to boot from the drive.
You could try to remove and reinstall all the XPF extensions, XPF has a menu option for this. The only time I see the slashed circle is when my 7600 tries to boot from a disk without using XPF to select it.
