If you are going to install 10.3.2 on the B&W, you will need to boot to the CD through Open Firmware, with a command like boot CD:\\tbxi...blahdie blahdie blah. There is an Apple Tech. Article on it. I had a bunch of trouble, and ruled out a bunch of things, and I finally stumbled upon the Tech. Article. If anyone needs it, I can look it up again. > Yes, but faulty IDE/ATA chip, (revision 1 / A) That HD Corruption Tester will report the same corruption on a G4, which would have the other chip. I tested it here at work. The source code has all sorts of checks for EVERYTHING BUT a check on whether there was an ERROR WRITING!!! So, of course if there was an error writing, the checksum will be different!!! I am in the process of testing my Blue and White in real-world testing, and so far its fine. I have 2 120 GB drives in it, and the first one is almost full(I was down to 800 MB last week). > problems finding the right memory ... Why? Blue and White memory ain't any different than the G4 memory. -Lars -- Unsupported OS X is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Unsupported OS X list info <http://lowendmac.com/lists/unsupported.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[email protected]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive <http://www.mail-archive.com/unsupportedosx%40mail.maclaunch.com/> iPod Accessories for Less at 1-800-iPOD.COM Fast Delivery, Low Price, Good Deal www.1800ipod.com
