Hi,

do you have other PCI Cards installed ? I Tried QE hack on my B&W with Radeon Mac Edition and came into data loss of FireWire drives attached to a PCI FireWire Card.

cheers,
Sven

My Blue and White R1 has:

Radeon Mac Edition (66Mhz slot)
Adaptec 2940 in another slot (33)
Adaptec 2930 in another slot (33)

G4 550 from Daystar

I've never used a firewire device on the system. I have two LVD SCSI drives (one 72 GB Compaq/Quantum and one 9GB original IBM)

Running 10.4.5 as of a day or two ago. I use PCI Extreme 3.1 I think (I'm out of town at the moment). I also have that card hooked up via DVI to a 19" LCD.

Only problem I've ever noticed was that the mouse pointer in some versions of OS X will turn blue occasionally. In DVD Player.app I also have to dial back some of the on-screen menus and turn off the transparency but otherwise it works fine.
