So I used to be a bit of a PHP IDE aficionado. I started off with Zend
Studio, then Net Beans, then Aptana, then Zend Studio again, then Net Beans
again, and now finally PHP Storm. :P

For what its worth, with Sublime Text and all it's plugins you can fine
tune your setup to be almost like an IDE if you want to control every
little aspect. Personally, I'd download phpStorm and do the 30 day trial.
It is totally worth the money. For all my non-php projects I use Sublime
Text 3.
