Exactly. The original premise of Flash did and still does makes sense: reduced data and instructions that get rendered on the client side.
I'm no Flash fanboy, for sure -- I dislike the direction Adobe took with ActionScript. But watching people hate on Flash seems like any other "mob dis", making claims about something for no good reason other than to claim "me too".
