Yes, I've been told that this should work. Of course it removes much of the
cross platform elegance from the whole thing. Since I script and test on the
Mac, and the program is meant to run on PC, it basically went out the
window. This function is one of the specific reasons that I found Revolution
so compelling (and worthy of a "pro" license), as it answered a couple of my
immediate problems in a current project. Once that went out the window, I
returned to iShell for the project, and I imagine that Rev will gather dust
until such time as its functions actually do what they say they will do. I
lost at least a couple of days trying to make rename work, and a couple of
weeks (or more) learning Revolution, just to get to the point where I could
determine that it would not be capable of doing the job (with the expected
level of elegance). My entire project, when it comes down to it, was based
on "rename" and "FTP" - both of which became far more difficult than one
would expect, and frankly, not worth the effort when I have other tools that
perform better (I didn't think they would, but they do.).

Revolution promises great things, but seems to have a way to go to actually
deliver all of them. Granted, this is the case with MOST if not all
cross-platform development solutions, but I had very high hopes that this
one would be different. At this point, I don't think it is.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not completely down on the tool, or the team, and
this is not the first time this sort of thing has happened it's just, well,
VERY frustrating - on many levels. :(
