Sorry to hear it. Of course, this is always the way with RADs. There are _always_
built-in limitations of some sort or another, and the question becomes whether your
particular application fits within them.
I've been told that rename works on PCs for files, just not on the Mac. It has been
added to the feature request list.
Built-in FTP is a brand-new feature -- before you simply had access to sockets (not
that that's anything to sneeze at, mind you). Over time I'm sure it will improve.
