This is all true. However the Sorenson codec is supported on both platforms
by a default installation of QT, and provided you have a decent
compressionist, the results can be outstanding (better than MPEG1). Even
without a real "tweaker" compressionist, the wizards in Media Cleaner Pro do
an admirable job of creating cross-platform Sorenson.
