HT = HyperThreading.

more or less two processors in one.
In RS you can benefit from more than
one processor because of the box-rendering
while raytracing the scene.
(and sometimes in postprocessing, too)

graphic-card-bus: PCI-Express

In my opinion you should look for a good
graphic-card with 256mb ram for using
many textures

Spend some money to the RAM.
RS-Postprocessing needs it for highres images!

Download a RS V5 demo from
www.realsoft.com (if not already done)--> Download section.

and check the fish scene
(and play a little bit with textures)

render a GI-scene in highres 6000x6000px, too,
and have a look at the taskmanager for RAM usage.

or check other testsites, but 
ask your friends, to get their cards for one or two days.
