WTF?!? Max community users can create free models, but noone else is
allowed to use them? What kind of BS is this? Well, I guess this puts me
off from ever touching max again, privately or professionally. Gawd I
just hate that company for all the crappy solutions/restrictions they
have come up with... Wonder if it says this in the "What to do when your
company becomes big enough" manual.

Sorry, just wasn't aware of this limitation. It just truly sucks!!

...Trying not to stay angry for the rest of the week.

Karl -- a very disappointed such.

I've found you need to have a licensed copy of MAX installed to
use any conversion software that will convert MAX. Look at Right
Hemisphere's offering of DeepExploration for an example of this
restriction.

        Subject: Converting models

        Hi there everyone,

I stumbled upon a problem with converting some models that are
in .max format. I just don't find a program that converts them to
something useful read by Realsoft3D !

When I was surfing around on the net, several persons said that
.max format is a closed one, nobody is allowed to use it. Is that so ??
Or does anyone here knows what to do ??

        Best regards
        /Uffe
