What I would suggest...

1) Run 4.4.2 in a virtual machine or another physical machine. Then connect to 
the instance using the VM software or remote desktop or something similar. OR 
you can set the JAVA_HOME in the seten.bat file. See

2) I'll think you will be ok. Nothing comes to mind but I don't have much 
experience with issues around 4.4.2 anymore.
