I downloaded a brand new IntelliJIDEA Ultimate 10.5.1 and installed it, same behaviour for me. Removed all the plugins (which are present independent of the IntelliJIDEA installation it seems) same behaviour for me. I have noted though that using the Maven plugin changes the output file to target even though the project dialogue box says out. That is not good. Reinstalled all the plugins, same behaviour for me.
