Not sure if this will help you as I am not using apache2 but I documented my steps to install midgard 1.5.0 at http://www.sydney.wilderness.org.au/docs/node.php?id=255
If you get it working I would be interested to hear what you had to do to get it working with Apache 2 as I will add that to the documentation.
