There are relatively big issues with EC2 - I'd probably look to a better run Cloud - something like what Contegix, who specializes in OFBiz installations, provides:

No, it is not possible :)

Tomcat runs as a container inside ofbiz. You can disable it if you want to, or replace it by jetty. But you can not run ofbiz into tomcat. Imho:)
