If you already have some basic understanding or even little practical experence of using it, I highly the book, "Struts Survival Guide" (www.objectsource.com). It takes you one step further on how extend the framework to fulfill your more advanced requirement.
PS. you can buy a download PDF file as well, which is much cheaper than it's paper back conterpart.
