Ted, Thanks for the (albeit not so promising) update. Much appreciated. I would jump right into this 2.0.1 release, but the problem is with management. The beta tag doesn't sit so well with them up there. Maybe they don't know about this whole Web 2.0 thing...

At this point, there's no way to tell. There were several changes made after Struts 2.0.2 that broke several Showcase examples, and therefore the underlying functionality. Most of those are fixed now, but there are new API issues with the Ajasx tags now, and we are trying tod decide whether to spin those off into a plugin or not. Also, Struts 2 is dependant on XWork 2, which is still tagged beta. So, there cannot be a GA release of Struts 2 until after there is a final release of XWork 2.0. Struts 2.0.1 has proven to be a solid build. If not for the "beta" moniker attached to XWork, it's possible that it could have been voted GA. As for deadlines, that shipped sailed in August, and we've just been pushing it out to the next quarter. At this point, we should probably drop the pretense and go back to it's ready when it's ready. Since we have no paid staff, and volunteer schedules are haphazard, it's never a good idea for us to project ship dates. -Ted.
