I tried this:

<map:match pattern="test(2).wml">
      <map:generate src="test.wml"/>
      <map:serialize type="wml"/>
      </map:match>

It works. test.wml is displayed. Does that mean that the WAP gateway accepts
characters like '(' and ')'  ?
