This morning, I was offered to install OO 2.4.1, which I did. Towards the end of the installation, a message appered that some file could not be erased, and the installation was reverted. After that, my previous OO version had gone and Internet access (with Firefox) was interrupted until reboot of computer. I tried again two times - same result. I'm now without wordprocessor. What can I do?
I have been using OO since early 2007. All previous updates went fine.

Hi Michael,
what is the operating system, that you are using?
what was the previous version of OO that you were upgrading from?

At first sight, this looks like an Internet/Firefox related problem and the openoffice install just suffered from this
In any case, your download could somehow been corrupted.

I would recommend to first download a complete version of 2.41 from openoffice.org to your harddisk. Secondly quit the OO quickstarter of your current install (should this still be running) and finally do the install from your harddisk, not from the internet.

Let us know what is happening. Should there be any questions, just feel free to ask.

Kind regards
Eberhard
