and the openoffice install just suffered from this
In any case, your download could somehow been corrupted.
I would recommend to first download a complete version of 2.41 from
openoffice.org to your harddisk. Secondly quit the OO quickstarter of
your current install (should this still be running) and finally do the
install from your harddisk, not from the internet.
Let us know what is happening. Should there be any questions, just
feel free to ask.
Appendix: When you start your installation from harddisk, please
disconnect your internet connection and deactivate your antivirus
software. After installation activate av-software again.
